Are All Arboricultural Services Essential Services?

April 7, 2020 11:04 am by Lisa Jones

April 1st all non-essential services in Manitoba shut their doors to the public for two weeks.  The Public Health Act acknowledges arboriculture as an essential service. Services performed by the arboriculture industry require highly trained expertise and some of the work performed relates directly to public safety and safe operations of buildings and residences.  However, not all arboricultural services are essential. Non-essential services can wait until a later time to protect the health and safety of arborists and the public. Please, read the statement made by the International Society of Arboriculture and Tree Care Industry Association to understand the difference between essential and non-essential services.
