Trees Winnipeg Launches Fall ReLeaf Program

August 25, 2020 – Trees Winnipeg is pleased to introduce ReLeaf Program this fall. Four different tree packages are now available for sale online in the organization’s fifth annual Winnipeg ReLeaf Tree Planting Program. ReLeaf is the largest and longest-running consumer program for tree seedlings in Winnipeg.

Trees Winnipeg ReLeaf Program Expands as it Enters Year 5

March 3, 2020 – Trees Winnipeg is pleased to announce that its fifth annual Winnipeg ReLeaf Tree Planting Program is growing. Due to demand, the non-for-profit charitable organization has more ReLeaf tree packages available for sale this spring, and a second installment of ReLeaf will be added in the fall. Also new this year is a centralized process for the public to pick up their tree packages and attend ReLeaf tree planting and care workshops.

Emerald Ash Borer Preparedness Week Underway

August 12, 2019 – Trees Winnipeg officially launched Emerald Ash Borer Preparedness Week this morning. The week-long awareness and education campaign is directed at residential and commercial property owners who want to learn more about the impact of the emerald ash borer (EAB) on ash trees. EAB was first detected in Winnipeg in 2017.

August 8, 2019 – On Monday, Trees Winnipeg will launch Emerald Ash Borer Preparedness Week at an event on Ash Street to mark a week-long awareness campaign for private property owners. From Aug. 12 – 18, online materials will target residential and commercial property owners to explain the devastating effects of emerald ash borer on ash trees, outline best practices and options, and encourage planning.

May 27, 2019 – Trees Winnipeg, the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Prairie Chapter, partners and sponsors are pleased to host the 16th annual Arbor Day celebration on Saturday, June 1 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at St. Vital Park. Arbor Day is a free, one-day event that takes Winnipeg’s beloved urban canopy to new heights with the city’s largest public event dedicated to trees.
